Welcome to the official blog of UC Irvine's Humanities Magazine, The Exhibit! We are all very excited to see people who are interested in participating in The Exhibit's production this year. You're all extremely intelligent and creative individuals, and together we will strive to reach our highest potential. To non-UCI students and alumni who found this blog, welcome as well. We all hope you enjoy the exciting, insightful posts that will be published on here.
From creative non-fiction and literary journalism to short stories and poetry, The Exhibit serves as an excellent avenue for the voice of the student population and as a tiny example of our generation's creative and literary outlook on life.
Everything will be covered here. From youth subcultures, political viewpoints, activism and the arts, to travel journalism, recipes, and TV, book, and movie reviews, The Exhibit covers all aspects of society.
As we receive submissions of student pieces for the annual printed publication on a rolling basis, be on the look out for the blog to be updated with similar pieces as often as possible.
If you're interested in reading, writing, blogging, editing, or graphic design and layout, send us an email at [email protected] We're always looking for new people to join our team!
The Exhibit meets every Wednesday from 3-4pm at UCI's West Food Court next to Subway in the Student Center.
The 2013-2014 school year is going to be a very exciting time, and we are all looking forward to writing and reading an array of pieces, showcasing the diverse perspectives of the humanities family at UCI. Thanks for checking out The Exhibit. Now let's create together.
